or at least how I'm feeling now*...lol
You arrive like a tide, steady and sure,
A river of release, a crimson cure.
Not a burden, but a blessing in disguise,
A cycle of cleansing, where old skin lies.
You wash me free of what once was,
A shedding of yesterday, just because.
Each drop a whisper, a quiet reprieve,
A rhythm my body is born to believe.
You pull me inward, soft and slow,
A moment to rest, to ebb, to flow.
No shame, no hush, no need to hide—
You are the moon’s gift, my body’s guide.
So come as you do, month after month,
A flush of renewal, a promise, a trust.
For in your leaving, I am made new,
Stronger, softer, powerful, true.
