This gentleman, laughed at my period underwear mainly for how big it was. Full coverage over here, baby. I kindly told him it helps me not to have leaks, something he doesn’t have to think about. Then I went on to share the period products I used before.

For period panty wearers - have you ever had to defend your choice in period products? Or even how you feel leading up to or around that time of the month?

I had a boyfriend who would spew out hyperbole about me being on my cycle because of my emotions. Ahhhh, people can only meet you at their emotional depth and capacity, his left a lot to be desired.

Some men are understanding while others must be educated. I leveraged this recent moment for the latter. I guess I like him enough to do that, but dang get off my crotch and let me bleed in peace, comfort, and protection.
